Our Story

Van Go’s Pizza came to reality on February 2014 from the desire and passion for pizza from owner Chef Daniel Van Hamersfeld. Born and raised in Amsterdam, he attended the culinary academy when he was just 12 years old. It has given him the opportunity to have amazing culinary adventures that has taken him all over the world before settling in Friday Harbor.

Only the finest premium ingredients are used in his pizza creations. From the authentic classics to the new and fun ones for the more adventurous palate. We make our dough fresh, in house, every day. The sauce has few ingredients and perfectly balanced. A perfect start for a delicious pie.

Van Go's creates a warm atmosphere where you can feel at home, the ideal place to have fun with family, friends or for some solo time, and eat what everyone loves: PIZZA.

In addition, we offer a variety of fresh salads, homemade desserts and ice cream.

Van Go's Pizza name was inspired by Daniel’s love for the artworks of his fellow countryman, famous Dutch artist Van Gogh. Daniel incorporates the same creativity and talent into his classic artisan pizzas.

In the summer, Van Go’s opens up their back patio: a secret garden oasis with flowers, trees and even a club house for little ones to enjoy; where relaxation and fulfillment of the heart and belly are guaranteed -and to a point unavoidable-.
